Business For Biodiversity Ireland (BFBI) is a not-for-profit organisation on a mission to get biodiversity into the boardroom. BFBI offers a four-track Nature Accelerator Strategy Programme, supporting businesses of every size and sector in their journey to nature positive. This means step-by-step guidance to develop a credible strategy for nature reporting and action, with peer-to-peer learning, workshops and one-to-one support. The platform hosts an online hub of resources, aligned with current best practice and guidance from our global partners Business for Nature and the European Business & Biodiversity Platform, tailored for the Irish context. Established in 2021, BFBI received three-year seed funding by National Parks & Wildlife (NPWS) / Department of Housing, Local Government & Heritage and the Department of Agriculture Food & the Marine. Members include Bank of Ireland, Bus Éireann, ESB Networks, Glenveagh, SAP Landscapes and many more. The platform was developed with support from Natural Capital Ireland, the National Biodiversity Data Centre and Business in the Community Ireland. The platform recently launched a Biodiversity Duty for Public Bodies in conjunction with NPWS. Visit businessforbiodiversity.ie
