Prior to his current role, Seán previously worked in central government on climate adaptation policy and as an advisor to Ireland’s independent Climate Change Advisory Council on adaptation and resilience. He has also worked in rural, regional and community development roles and has lectured part time on climate and sustainability. He is a corporate member of the Irish Planning Institute and holds a BSc Government and Public Policy, Masters in Planning and Sustainable Development and PhD from University College Cork. He is author of Sense of Place: A History of Irish Planning.
